Marlin Golden 39-A "JM" Stamped Takedown Chambered In 22LR. The Model 39A is one of Marlin's best known traditional rimfire rifles and represents the continuation of a lever action lineage dating back to the 19th century. This rifle is especially notable for its "JM" stamp associated with Marlin production prior to the transition away from the company's long established manufacturing operations. One of the defining characteristics of the Model 39-A is its takedown construction. The rifle can be separated into its major receiver/barrel and butt stock assemblies by means of a large takedown screw on the receiver.
